Power Tip is a sports tipping app. You pick the winner of every game in a round, give each game a Power Rating, and play one Power Tip per round. A correct tip scores the rating you gave it, so the games you are surest about can earn you the most.
Download the free Power Tip app and sign in with Google, Facebook, Apple or email. You are automatically entered in the Global League for your sport, and you can start making your tips straight away.
The AFL, NRL, AFLW, NRLW, NFL, EPL and A-League. Each sport runs its own ladder, and you can tip one sport or several.
The app is free to download and the Player Power Page is free to use. Venue Power Leagues are free for the venue and every player. An optional Power Tip Premium subscription is also available in the app; billing details are in the Terms of Use.
Yes. Sign in to the Player Power Page with the same account you use in the app. You can make your tips there, and they sync straight to the app.
No. Power Tip is a game of skill for entertainment purposes only and does not involve real-money gambling. It is intended for users aged 13 and over.
When a tip is correct, you score the rating you gave that game. A wrong tip scores nothing. Your season total is the sum of your round scores.
It is the number you give each game when you tip. Standard ratings start at 1 and go up, and each one can only be used once per round, so you rank the round from your strongest call to your weakest.
The Power Tip is the highest value pick in a round and can be used once per round. A correct Power Tip is worth 10 points in the AFL, NRL, AFLW, NRLW and A-League, 15 points in the EPL and 20 points in the NFL.
No. You pick a winner and give the game a rating. There is no margin to enter.
In the EPL and the A-League you can tip a draw, and a drawn game only rewards a draw tip. In the AFL, NRL, AFLW, NRLW and NFL there is no draw option, and a drawn game counts as correct whichever team you picked.
Ladders are ranked on total points. If members are level on points, the one with the higher percentage is placed ahead. Your percentage is the number of correct tips divided by the number of games you tipped.
When the first game of the round starts. From then on, your picks and ratings for every game in that round are fixed.
If you have not tipped by the time the round starts, you receive automatic tips for that round. They back the team placed lower on the ladder in each game and are scored like any other tips. The app can also send reminders before the tipping deadline.
Members who join after rounds have already started receive automatic tips for those rounds, so you start with a score for each of them.
Once per season, in each sport, you can activate your Power Round, and every point you score in that round is doubled. Wrong tips still score nothing.
Before the first game of that round starts. You choose it in the Power Tip app on the Make Tips screen, and once the round starts your choice is locked in.
Yes. You get one Power Round per season for each sport you tip.
Global Leagues for each sport, private leagues for your own group, Partner Power Leagues run by podcasts, fan sites and social media channels, and Venue Power Leagues run by pubs, clubs and sporting venues. Leagues Explained covers each one.
Ask the person who created it for the league's six-character join code, then enter the code in the app. To start your own, create a league in the app, choose the sport and a name, and share the join code it gives you.
No. Your tips for a round count in every league you belong to in that sport.
Venues can register on the Venues page, and podcasts, fan sites and social channels can register on the Partners page. Registration is free.
Make sure you are using the same sign-in method you used when you created your account: Google, Facebook, Apple or email. For email accounts, use Forgot password on the email login screen in the app to reset your password. More help is on the Support page.
Email support@powertip.com.au from the email address you sign in with, using the subject line "Delete my Power Tip account". Once verified, your account and its data are permanently deleted within 30 days. Full instructions are on the Delete Account page.
